If you haven’t already heard our alternate host – Mark Von Tess – then you’re in for a treat. He fills in for the big guy, Brink, and he’s one of the most underrated talents gifted to this world. See for yourself and click on each picture to get into his head….if you dare!!! You’re in for a trick and a treat!
Our very own Brink left his home base of New York and dragged his kicking and screaming fiancee (ok she did really want to go!) – and made their way to Sin City aka Las Vegas for EDC 2013!
Who would NOT want to go to Electric Daisy Carnival ? Look at all these artists performing at this year’s show:
This year’s Las Vegas edition of EDC once again took place at: The venue layout was MASSIVE:
I spent a majority of my time bouncing around between Circuit Grounds, Cosmic Meadow and Kinetic field but I did visit every stage!
The actual festival takes place from dusk til dawn as they advertise – first performer starts at 7pm, and last performer normally starts around 4:30am and goes until 5:30am. Phew! Long night!
We would arrive in the day time and normally be leaving again in the daytime – good thing because Las Vegas is hot and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is legit in the middle of the desert – as is the actual city of Las Vegas itself – but yeah, it’s hot and dry!
Here’s a shot of the desert on our way to Night 1 of EDC while we were on the EDC Shuttle:
I was seriously waiting for Walter White and Jesse Pinkman to pull up in a meth lab/RV! (Breaking Bad joke)
By the way – I heard horror stories about the EDC Shuttle and some people waiting for hours last year to get back to their hotels – and actually paid other people to wait in line for them – this being my first time on the EDC Shuttle – I had NO PROBLEMS – they actually had a separate route to the venue exclusively for shuttle buses and it involved going through Nellis Air Force Base – the longest I waited once leaving the festival was probably 20 minutes, not bad at all!
Security was very thorough searching everybody but people did make it in with ‘unmentionables’ – I’ll just put it this way – dance festivals normally involve illegal substances, and such – and there was no shortage of that but overall everyone was having a great time!
Just see for yourself as Brink and his fiancee – Briar are enjoying the night in their custom ‘Saturday Night Launch’ t-shirts (AVAILABLE SOON!)
So – as you can see – a good time was had by all! EDC was EPIC, MASSIVE, AWESOME, CRAZY, COOL – all that and then some! Will I be back again in the future? Time will tell – if not in Vegas, then perhaps in another city!
So what do you think of Brink’s experience at EDC? Which pics did you like? Which videos did you like? Should Brink go back? Leave your comments below!
