This music video has turned up recently for this new pop-duo group – Double Take – now Fuse TV Network has already called this the worst music video of all time – but what you do you think? Comment below.
I’ll admit – the song is terrible – but it’s catchy, I’ll give them that much.
Personally – I think these songs with music videos are up there too!
It’s Friday – Friday!!!! Argh – shut up!
…and now you’ve learned where the inspiration for ‘The Saturday Night Launch’ really came from!
That’s my vote for the worst music video ever – I mean, come on! One of my favorite parts is right in the beginning where she goes to open the limo door before the driver finally does it. Brilliant!
So even though we play dance music here on the show – I actually have an “eclectic” taste in music. However, my taste in music strays widely. Sure, I love some of the popular tracks, the underground ones – the soundtrack only cuts, and other songs – but dare I say, some of the songs that I LOVE are actually not too popular, or if they are, have a massive cult following. You may be asking yourself: What are the songs Brink loves? Well….let me clarify – I HATE that I love them, well maybe not all of them. Here’s some of the songs you may find me tapping my foot against the ground to, or blasting in my car (with the windows up):
So I first came to light on this song from the popular Cartoon Network PC game “Robot Unicorn Attack” – it’s a pretty mellow song and catchy as hell.
Sure – I’m not a girl (last I checked) but something about this song puts me in the ultimate party mode – in a cheesy way. I’ve DJed so many parties where I played this song that I guess it just kinda grew on me….sigh
If you watch this video, you may ask yourself: Is that Avicii? No – it’s not. I was really into Ace of Base for some strange reason, so into them that I bought their albums – sans the greatest hits one. They’re pop was too catchy to resist for my taste. Go Sweden!
Don’t judge me! Yes, the lyrics to this song are crap – the video is crap – it’s a horrible novelty song that even Mattel didn’t like but you have to admit – you know you find yourself mouthing the lyrics when it comes on! Don’t deny it!
I avoided that whole boy band era – for as long as I could, but this was one of those guilty pleasure songs that I liked from this group. Having also met these guys and them being really cool probably also helped me to show some kind of support.
The only reason I can say I love this song is because I’m a child of the 80s – it’s not all that great, but it’s catchy – pretty well known, but not a song most people would admit to loving.
When I first heard Daniel Bedingfield come on the scene with ‘Gotta Get Thru This’ – I thought it was a decent song, but then he did a 360 and came out with sweet love song – almost brings a tear to your eye. These days – I prefer his sister, Natasha!
Back in the 80s – Eddie Murphy was known more for his acting – but then he stepped into a recording studio with Rick James, and the rest….is history. It’s catchy – too catchy, and if you put it on – you’ll catch me gettin’ down!
I’ve never seen the movie ‘Flashdance’ which is where this 80s song derived from – I just grew up with it. I remember hearing it as a kid and I don’t know – always stuck with me. I’m not a woman but this song would make me happily join them on the dance floor singing this one out loud.
So yeah back to the boy bands for a second – really liked this song when it came out – loved it more once I saw they used a young, Jennifer Love Hewitt in the video.
Ask any guy what their favorite Madonna song is….they will be hesitant to answer. I grew up in the 80s like I said before, and she dominated the airwaves. It’s hard to not like any of her songs but it’s even harder to admit to loving this one! There – you happy now!?
Originally when I heard this song – I thought the lyric being sung in the chorus was ‘Balthazar’ instead of the actual song title – silly me! It’s not a great song but I like it. And who doesn’t love a lowrider in a video?
I’m far from model-material but whenever I hear this song – I can’t help but want to ‘sashay’ my way down a runway. It’s just a feel-good song that can make anyone feel beautiful – well, maybe not EVERYone.
This was never a commercial success but it sure was as a viral video. It made for great parodies, as well as millions of hits on YouTube. I still have no idea what he’s actually singing about but I don’t care.
The chorus is annoying – but I like it for its sheer catchiness.
I had always had a soft spot for this song – but then after watching Harold & Kumar sing it en route to White Castle – that made it ok to love in my book!
There I go again with the boy bands – another one that slipped through into my radar. I dig the lyrics, nice song overall in my opinion. If you can’t tell – I went through various love phases.
